Amore E Passione
SOLD
Amore E Passione is a poetic and expressive original sculpture by Andrea Roggi, measuring 19" x 30". Rising from a textured bronze sphere, a finely detailed tree unfolds, its roots exposed and cascading into a hollowed interior while its branches reach outward with rhythmic energy. The interplay between the solid outer form and the open core creates a powerful sense of tension and balance, echoing the sculpture’s title, which speaks of love and passion as forces that both ground and transform us. Subtle blue and verdigris patination washes across the surface, lending the work an organic, almost breathing quality, as if growth and emotion are caught in a single, suspended moment.
Andrea Roggi was born in Castiglion Fiorentino, in the heart of Tuscany, and his artistic language is deeply informed by the region’s Renaissance heritage. A formative encounter with Masaccio’s The Trinity in Florence marked a turning point in his creative life, inspiring him to pursue sculpture under the guidance of renowned artist Enzo Scatragli. In 1991, Roggi established his own studio and foundry, allowing him to oversee every stage of creation, from concept through to casting and patination.
Working in bronze using the traditional lost wax process, Roggi combines classical technique with a distinctive contemporary sensibility. His work is celebrated internationally, not only for its refined craftsmanship but for its emotional depth. Alongside his sculptural practice, Roggi has dedicated himself to cultural education through initiatives such as the Art for Youth movement and the Parco della Creatività. His sculptures are held in collections and exhibited worldwide, reflecting a career devoted to beauty, meaning and human connection.
