Her artistic journey began in childhood, where her fascination with human behavior and emotional intricacies first took shape. Initially focusing on figurative painting, Eremeeva experienced a personal tragedy which marked a turning point in her career, prompting her to look inward. This period became the catalyst for her transition from figurative work into abstraction, and she began to find new ways to explore themes such as transience, memory, and the generational threads that connect or unravel.
Eremeeva’s process begins with vivid visions - snapshots of colour, texture, and form that guide her choice of palette, medium, and scale. Each piece emerges from days of introspection, visualisation, and meticulous planning, yet when she begins to paint, her style is spontaneous and her gestures are intuitive. She employs a multi-layered approach, using oil on canvas as her primary medium, but augmenting her palette with materials like sand, pastel, and charcoal. The breadth of her large-scale canvases allows her ideas and emotions to evolve and adds drama and impact to the finished composition.
Eremeeva’s life and art have been enriched by her global experiences. After studying art in Belgium, she has lived and worked in the Netherlands, Italy, and the United States, and believes that each place sharpened her perspective and contributed to her insights into the complexities and contradictions within human experience. She seeks to inspire others to connect with their own emotions, memories, and perceptions and to find their own personal meanings within her work.
When not painting, Eremeeva’s life revolves around a constant exploration of aesthetics, whether through interior design, gardening, or the pleasures of food and daily life Her commitment to avoiding predictability drives her continuous artistic evolution, as she embraces growth and change both on the canvas, and in herself. Her work, exhibited widely across Europe and the USA, has found collectors in over 20 countries worldwide, including Canada, Japan and Australia.
