In October, an exclusive preview of 'Electronic Paintings', the highly anticipated new series by internationally acclaimed Gibraltarian artist Christian Hook, was held at London’s prestigious National Portrait Gallery, hosted by Clarendon Fine Art with the showcase taking place in the gallery's Weston Wing.
Over the last 10 years Christian Hook has emerged as one of the most significant artists of his generation. Endlessly curious about the world he is an artist of ideas, approaching his multi-layered narratives with a unique blend of intellect and imagination.
A key highlight of the evening was 'An Audience with Christian Hook', led by Rachel Simkiss, Director of Brand and Partnerships for Clarendon Fine Art. It featured an in-depth conversation with Hook and special guest Dr Alison Smith, formerly Chief Curator of the National Portrait Gallery.
Joining Alison on the panel was James Nicholls, a distinguished Art Historian, the host of ‘The Art Review’ for London Live TV and Art Presenter, and Luke Blackall, author and broadcaster who has been interviewing the great and the good of the art world for more than fifteen years.
The preview showcased new works from Hook and attendees had the unique opportunity to meet the artist and get an exclusive first look at his latest exhibition.
