Dean Kendrick
Dean Kendrick is a British contemporary artist whose work combines the traditions of classical sculpture, capturing energy and emotion in every piece. Whether a wildlife study or monumental figure Dean uses his works to “tell stories in three dimensions”.
Born in 1970 in Birmingham, Dean studied art in the late 80s and now works from his own studio in Stratford-upon-Avon. His paintings and sculptural works have been displayed in a number of exhibitions and galleries, and he has worked on numerous private commissions with his work now part of collections worldwide, as well as on display as large-scale installations in public spaces. His designs have been used in film, virtual experiences and theatre, including work used in exhibitions and performances by the Royal Shakespeare Company. Dean has also created bespoke pieces for ‘Wild in Art’ charity events to raise funds for numerous good causes.
Wildlife sculptor Dean Kendrick describes his style as “a blend of stylised realism designed to engage the viewer's imagination”. His work is held in collections worldwide, on display as large-scale public installations and has been used by prestigious partners including The Royal Shakespeare Company.
