Artwork Description:
Size:33 x 33 in

Immerse yourself in the bustling energy and serene elegance of London with Tom Butler's original artwork, 'View From Southbank (Study)'. This captivating collage piece, framed exquisitely in a white domed wooden frame measuring 33 x 33 inches, is a masterful blend of intricacy and imagination that captures the heart of cityscape art.

Butler, known for his unique approach to collage art, transforms ordinary materials into extraordinary scenes. His latest offering brings to life an urban landscape inspired by the iconic views from London's Southbank. Through a harmonious mix of muted greys, deep midnight hues, and striking accents of warm terracotta and russet brown against soft cream backgrounds, Butler invites us on a visual journey through one of the world’s most vibrant cities. The subtle infusion of vivid reds and cool bluish tones adds depth and dimension to this complex composition.

The artist cleverly incorporates text elements throughout the artwork, adding layers of narrative and whimsy to this urban tapestry. Signature buildings peek through the foggy skyline while boats glide silently on water rendered with such realism it seems to ripple off the canvas. Each glance reveals new details – reflections that dance on water's surface or distant docks that hint at unseen horizons.

Tom Butler’s fascination with colour and light is evident in every brushstroke. Drawing inspiration from his travels around the globe as well as his profound appreciation for Impressionist masters like Monet and Cezanne, Butler has crafted an artwork that does more than portray a city; it tells its story.

'View From Southbank (Study)' embodies not just London’s architectural grandeur but also its soul – making it an indispensable addition for collectors who wish to own a piece of refined elegance tinged with a sense of adventure.
