Stik Biography

Using a signature minimalist style of stick figures, the art of British street artist Stik is instantly recognisable. Like fellow famed British street artist Bansky, Stik is intent on keeping his identity private, and because of this connection critics have named Stik as ‘the next Banksy’. Stik has created large scale murals in the UK, Europe, Asia and America. He is known for his collaborations with Amnesty International, Reclaim The Streets, and other charitable organisations, as well as donating the proceeds of his auctioned works to charity.

Stik’s designs and socio-political murals began to appear on the streets of Hackney, his hometown, and elsewhere around East London from 2001 onwards. During this time, the artist was said to be living in homeless shelters and social housing. Since, his paintings and sculptures have fetched six figure prices on the secondary market. Stik’s list of celebrity collectors includes Elton John, Bono, Brian May and Tinie Tempah.
