Artwork Description:

‘London is Beautiful’ is a framed silkscreen on paper limited edition artwork from contemporary pop artist Mr. Brainwash, measuring 28 x 28” and released in an edition size of 150. The image depicts a familiar London scene with a fun, modern twist as the artist’s version of the capital city is customised with a palette of rainbow colour and positivity in true Mr. Brainwash style. Westminster Bridge becomes a street art canvas covered in graffiti, decked in Union Jack bunting and bearing the words of the artwork’s title. The waters of the River Thames flow below, reflecting the art on the bridge as one or two unlikely visitors swim by. Big Ben stands tall in the background as an iconic red double-decker bus moves through the scene under a bright blue sky with the clouds rolling in. As always there are a few of Mr. Brainwash’s favourite recurring motifs present in the form of the black and white chimp and the red, heart-shaped helium balloon.
