As Davis explains, "When you're out there, you don't have time to overcomplicate things; it's all about letting the subconscious come through. The pulse and flux of the vacillating weather and the luminosity of operatic light provide me with constant inspiration."
Since becoming a tutor at the Newlyn School of Art in 2016, Davis has established himself as one of Cornwall's most respected contemporary landscape painters. His work is held in private and corporate collections, exhibited internationally and recognised through the Threadneedle Prize and inclusion in Future Now: 100 Contemporary Artists.
