An innate love of experimenting with different textures and materialsturned Keith into an artist at a young age. He was trained in art to degree level, but his conventional path ended when he graduated and he went his own unique way. He now lives a semi self-sufficient life in a cottage by the sea which he shares with his best friend and a menagerie of cheerful pets.
Keith spends his days painting in the studio or on his porch and his highly textured, luminous collages convey the contentment he has found in life. He works with a wide range of materials including pen and ink, wood stain, acrylics and varnishes, alongside such collage materials as vintage maps, old books or sheet music.
Keith is inspired by the British coastline, by music (from Irish folk to his own music made on a mountain dulcimer), and by nature – sculptor and environmentalist Andy Goldsworthy is a hero.
